On 19 March 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project Moldova’s Path to Advanced Skills in Tourism (MPATS), a workshop was held with English teachers focusing on tourism qualifications and the development of sector-specific language skills.

The session highlighted the growing importance of inbound tourism for Moldova, the need to strengthen the quality of tourism services, and the key role of English language competences in vocational education and training. Particular attention was given to the presentation of the Explanatory Guide on the Use of Professional Vocabulary in the Field of Tourism for Vocational Education Students, a practical tool designed to support teachers and learners in building active professional vocabulary for real-life communication in the tourism sector.

The workshop contributed to the project’s wider objective of enhancing tourism education and aligning skills development with labour market needs.
